Aiteo: A Nigerian Local Content Success Story (Video)
The effect the Nigerian Content Policy has had in the Nigerian oil and gas industry in the sector of oil production is of no doubt a noteworthy achievement.
Emerging is the success story of Aiteo, an integrated, global-focused Nigerian energy conglomerate, which was founded by a Nigerian Entrepreneur, Benedict Peters in 2008. Aiteo is one of Africa’s fastest-growing energy leaders.
In a conference which was held recently in Bayelsa State, in the southern part of Nigeria, Aiteo aims to increase the penetration of Nigerian content into the industry and to bring the industry close to where the crude comes from, and to also achieve the objectives of the NCDMB Act, a law which is to allow more Nigerians participate in the oil and gas industry.
Victor Okoronkwo, Group Managing Director, Aiteo Eastern E&P, speaking at the event described Aiteo as a company which has diverse interest across the entire value chain, ranging from oil trading, exploration and production, electricity generation, infrastructure, mining and agriculture.
