‘Beautician from hell’ leaves ‘500 women’ with deformed faces in botched lip ops
An unlicensed ‘beautician from hell’ using a banned gel left “hundreds” of women with deformed faces – including one who needed 25 surgical operations to repair the damage.
Natalia Korosteleva’s clients complained of lopsided trout pouts after she injected their lips with a “dangerous gel” imported “by the bucketload”.
The fake beautician’s customers included Russian actresses who lost key parts after their looks were “ruined” in botched lip filler procedures, a Moscow court heard.
One testified her cheeks were left “swollen like a hamster” later requiring 25 surgical operations to recover, and another was a music TV presenter who had a nervous breakdown after suffering a permanently disfigured face.
Korosteleva, who used a gel imported from neighbouring Ukraine, has now been jailed for five and a half years.
The court found Korosteleva was injecting her patients with liquid silicone and a hazardous bipolymer gel banned in Russia and most other countries, resulting in chronic inflammation and oedemas – fluid buildup under the skin causing severe pain.
