Camila Cabello admits she stole from the palace; Prince William, Duchess Kate respond
Camila Cabello just made a royal confession.
The “Señorita” singer, 22, revealed on BBC 1 Radio’s “Breakfast With Greg James” Tuesday that she stole something from Kensington Palace during her October visit.
“Don’t tell anybody what my mother and I did,” she told James, who played a major part in Cabello’s spontaneous sticky fingers at the royal residence.
The host explained that they “were at Kensington Palace … about to meet (Prince) William and (Duchess) Kate” when he told Cabello, “(You) gotta steal something. Steal something … steal that pencil.”
And the pop star couldn’t back down because James “triple-doggy-dared” her.

Radio 1’s Teen Heroes of 2019 visited The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace earlier this month, along with chart-topping superstar Camila Cabello and BBC Radio 1 DJs Clara Amfo and Greg James. Now in its tenth year, @bbcradio1’s Teen Awards is the biggest teen event in the pop music calendar and shines a light on some of the UK’s most inspirational teens, seeing them crowned Teen Heroes of 2019 in front of an audience of 14-17 year-olds. This is the fourth consecutive year that Radio 1’s Teen Heroes have been honoured with an invitation to the Palace. The ten finalists were greeted by The Duke and Duchess, who praised them for their inspirational work and their dedication to helping others. #R1TeenAwards
“You can’t not do a triple-doggy-dare,” Cabello said. “If there’s anything I’ve learned in my life, it’s that. So I did it.”
She continued: “I’m sorry. I still have (the pencil). I’m sorry William, and I’m sorry Kate. I honestly couldn’t sleep last night. I had to get it off my chest.”
The palace playful responded to Cabello’s confession by tweeting the looking eye emoji. That means they’ll likely keep a close eye on the pop star if she comes back.

Cabello and James attended the BBC Radio 1 Teen Heroes of 2019 event at the palace in late October to honor the UK’s most inspirational teens.
And it turns out James actually ratted Cabello out at the event.
“You, to one of the palace people, called me out on it, and were like, ‘She stole a pencil!’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god.’ And I put it in my mom’s purse, and my mom was like, ‘No, we have to give it back. We have to give back the pencil,'” the singer said……..read more
