Comedian Danny Baker’s Tweet About Royal New-born Baby Earns Him a Sack by BBC.
Danny Baker, a 61-year-old comedian, has been sacked by the BBC a few hours after the royal family announced to the world the arrival of their son.
Mr. Baker’s tweet having a photo of a monkey dressed in a suit with a man and woman outside a hospital with the caption “Royal baby leaves hospital” was however not funny.
Although apology has been duly tendered on Twitter and original tweet deleted by Danny, but this restitution was a little too late as BBC still went ahead to sack him saying “This was a serious error of judgment and goes against the values we as a station aim to embody. Danny’s a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us.”
