The Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, Abba Kyari, has reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19), but the President, Muhammadu Buhari, has tested negative.
This was confirmed by a presidential aide on Tuesday, saying an official statement will be issued later on.
The Aso Villa, which is the workplace and official residence of the President of Nigeria, has been reportedly on lockdown, to prevent further spread of this deadly virus.
The number of the confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria has risen to 40.
These are the few reactions gathered from Twitter.
I don’t care how close we are, if I see you celebrating the reported Coronavirus status of Abba Kyari, I’m going to unfollow you. And I’m never ever going to respect you again. We can disagree and all, but we should never ever lose our empathy. It’s what defines us eventually.

IF it is true that Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President, has tested positive for #COVID19, my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. I wish him speedy recovery.

Abba Kyari testing positive to Coronavirus after sitting in on meeting of the Coronavirus Taskforce tells you a lot about what that Taskforce is (not) doing.
They knew he had gone to Germany and Egypt, yet nobody asked him to self-isolate?
“Get professionals” – they said no.

It took a second for General @MBuhari to close Nigeria’s borders because of rice. But because his own daughter and his personal handler, Abba Kyari, were abroad, he refused to close our border to #CoronaVirus. Rice is more important to Buhari than Nigerian lives#BuhariTormentor

Abba Kyari didn't quarantine. Why are Nigerian big men so irresponsible?

If Abba Kyari indeed is infected & took it to Ask rock & we know that the virus is most brutal to the elderly with weak immune systems & we know that 98% of our leaders are always flying out for medical checkups. Hmmm heavenly FATHER is that the plan? 🤔 #COVID19NIGERIA

So Abba Kyari really exposed Buhari to danger. Why didn’t he self isolate once he got back from Germany?🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
