Kim Kardashian snubs Donald Trump from thank you message as he commutes inmate’s life sentence

Kim Kardashian may have cut ties with Donald Trump already as she failed to thank him for commuting the life sentence of an inmate she had campaigned for.

Mr Trump granted a last-minute clemency for Chris Young in his final act as US president before leaving the White House last week.

Young had been sentenced to life in prison but was a free man this weekend.

Kim, 40, posted a heartfelt message thanking the team that pushed for Young’s release, which included the Judge Kevin H Sharp who sentenced him, Reform Alliance CAO Jessica Jackson, and Alice Marie Johnson, the woman who Kim fought to be freed from prison three years ago.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote in her Instagram stories: ‘It brings tears to my eyes to see Judge Sharp welcome him home. He was forced to sentence him to a life sentence based on mandatory minimums and ended up resigning due to these injustices.

‘Judge Sharp and I went to the White House a few years ago asking for clemency for @thechrisyoung_2021. He’s so deserving and smart and I can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in this life! I worked on this case with Barnett for years so this victory is so sweet!’

She added: ‘Thank you @alicemariefree @jessicajackson & Judge Sharp for fighting so hard for Chris and never giving up !!!’

Mr Trump, 74, was notably absent from the message despite he and Kim having built a working relationship in recent years as she campaigned for prison reform.
