Lagos Now: Coronavirus Update (Video)

Aljazeera News spoke with Sulaiman Aledeh, a media consultant and former Channels News reporter and broadcaster, to know the update on COVID-19, since its first reported case in Nigeria.

Responding to the questions from Aljazeera, Sulaiman said, “28 people have been quarantined, those who had direct contact with the infected Italian when he arrived at a cement factory called LAFARGE in Ogun State, a neighbouring state to Lagos State in Nigeria. The company has shut down its operation to prevent further spread of the deadly virus”.

“Lagos State has already put in place a healthcare facility which can take about a hundred people, and the medical professionals at the centre for disease control said they are ready”, he said.
