Texas Teacher Fired Over Tweets Asking Trump to ‘Remove’ Immigrants
A high school English teacher in Fort Worth was fired on Tuesday after asking President Trump to rid her school of undocumented immigrants in public tweets that she thought were private messages to the president.
The board of the Fort Worth Independent School District voted unanimously to terminate the contract of the teacher, Georgia Clark, less than a week after she was suspended over her Twitter activity. Fourteen people at the board meeting spoke against Ms. Clark’s continued employment, with none in support, according to Fox 4 News.
Ms. Clark intends to request a hearing to contest the decision, her lawyer, Brandon Brim, said in a statement.
