Wilder knocks out Breazeale, wants Joshua fight

Deontay Wilder is looking to a potential fight with Nigerian-born British world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua after the American knocked out compatriot Dominic Breazeale on Saturday night.
Wilder knocked Breazeale out in the first round in New York on Saturday to retain his World Boxing Council world heavyweight title.
The other recognised world heavyweight belts – WBA, IBF and WBO – are held by Joshua.
Joshua faces American Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden in New York on 1 June.
After his victory, Wilder was approached by Cuba’s Luis Ortiz in the ring – a man he beat in 2018 – but when asked about potential contests with British heavyweight Tyson Fury and Joshua, said “no doors are closed” and that such fights “are in discussion”……..read more
