Piers Morgan branded a ‘bully and coward’ by Alan Sugar after airing ‘personal grudges’ on GMB

Lord Sugar has let rip at Piers Morgan yet again as their row rumbles on, with the Apprentice star labelling the GMB host a “bully and a coward”.

Introducing Good Morning Britain today, Piers’ co-host Susanna Reid berated him for bringing his “personal grudges” on air.

Piers laid into a number or fellow journalists who had criticised him on Twitter, including a Sunday Times journalist whose credentials he criticised.

As he began, Susanna exclaimed: “Oh no! This isn’t an opportunity for getting out all your personal beefs.”

“Oh it is when they go public in their own national public newspaper platforms and Twitter,” Piers insisted. “His qualifications, by the way, as a journalist – he was a ping pong player.”

“He competed at a world level at table tennis,” Susanna added.

Piers continued: “He competed in two Olympics and never got past the first round. And in the second Olympics he competed in in Sydney, by his own admission he froze and couldn’t hit the ball. Bit of a problem if you’re a tennis player!”

Susanna remarked: “So he owned his failure!”

“Those are his words, not mine,” Piers ranted. “‘I froze, I couldn’t hit the ball, I choked.’ Alright mate, so that makes you a world expert on interviewing and journalism.”

“You just did a whole podcast on owning your failures,” Susanna pointed out.

And Lord Sugar had clearly been watching GMB – and was not impressed as he lashed out at the GMB presenter on Twitter……read more
